A petition to expel Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from Congress has received over 900,000 signatures from citizens.
According to the petition’s statement:
We the people ask that impeachment proceedings begin against Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for Treason against the American People. Article I, section 5 of the U.S. Constitution provides that “Each House” (that is, the Senate and the House of Representative) “may determine the rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two thirds, expel a member.”
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) announced on Wednesday that he is submitting articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of homeland security, who has come under fire from senior Republicans for how he has handled the southern border.
Several Republicans, including Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, flanked Biggs as she made the announcement at a news conference. Mayorkas, according to him, had broken his oath of office.
